Reventazon River & Sarapiqui Rivers La Virgen and Florida Sections

These two rivers provide moderate white water. The plentiful rapids, lush surroundings an abundant bird life make this a great introduction to river rafting.
This 19kms (12miles) run is clearly divided in two halves. The first hour is very exciting, with big waves and long rapids. We stop for a first class buffet lunch, a picnic at the prettiest beach on the river. |

The second half is more relaxed as the river enters the true lower Caribbean, the surroundings take on a jungle character and the wildlife is more plentiful. We also recommend these descents in inflatable kayaks (duckies) as a superb opportunity for those looking for a greater challenge. During rainy months we operate the Sarapiqui River and at drier times the Reventazon. |
